More than 30 team members from the Hampton Inn Neptune/Wall gathered last Thursday to celebrate its recent community relations recognition by franchisor Hampton Hotels. The hotel was awarded the Hands-On Hamptonality Hotel Award for its outstanding commitment and service to local residents displaced by Superstorm Sandy nearly nine months ago. As a part of the award, a $500 grant was made to the hotel’s charity of choice – The Salvation Army to aid those affected by the recent Oklahoma tornadoes.

General Managers from Schahet Hotels descended on Orlando, Fla. last week for their 14th Annual Leadership Summit. Orlando was purposely selected so that company managers could volunteer and interact first-hand with two world-wide service organizations they have supported over the years, Give Kids The World and Clean the World.

Harland Boys & Girls Club, which serves more than 265 area children and teens each day during after-school hours.
