MCLEAN, Va. - Hampton Hotels today announced that it has been named the top global franchise by Entrepreneur magazine out of 200 franchisors listed in the publication's October issue. The international ranking follows two consecutive years as the No. 1 franchise on Entrepreneur's annual Franchise 500 list, where Hampton Hotels became the first hotel franchise to earn the top spot.

The hotel franchise opened its first property outside of the U.S. in Alberta Canada in 1997 and expanded outside of North America several years later in 2009 with the opening of its first European property in the United Kingdom.
