MCLEAN, Va. - Hilton Worldwide's (NYSE: HLT) global brand Hampton by Hilton is continuing to inspire Americans to seize the weekend by adding three celebrity "Seekenders" to its team. In August of 2015, the brand launched the Seekender campaign in an effort to inspire Americans to take advantage of the weekend and pursue their passions. Starting this summer, 'Soul Surfer' Bethany Hamilton, ESPN broadcaster Samantha Ponder and national TV personality and fashion expert Kika Rocha will share their weekend adventures and travel insights on HamptonSeekender.com and via social media using #Seekender.
A bold adventurer and global traveler, Hamilton embodies the Seekender lifestyle and enjoys pursuing her passion while being surrounded by the people who matter most to her. "With my family, we seek to live the life we love together, especially on the weekends," said Hamilton upon joining the Ultimate Seekender Team.
Hamilton, who recently placed in the top three at the World Surf League's Fiji Women's Pro, kicks off the collaboration by sharing her family's escape to Los Angeles. Rocha will follow with a family weekend to Jackson Hole, Wyoming and Ponder will share her rejuvenating weekend trip to Bar Harbor, Maine as she prepares for the start of 2016 college football season.
"It was lovely to wake up to free, hot breakfast, and the free Wi-Fi allowed us to stay connected," Hamilton shared following her recent weekend stay at Hampton by Hilton in Los Angeles.
The celebrities will join three new Ultimate Seekender Team members Gustavo Gutierrez, Giselle Orentas and Elena Ollick as well as the nine veterans. They will share their experiences along the way as they seize the weekend to follow their many passions from sports and music to food and the great outdoors.
Building off this momentum, Hampton by Hilton has also launched the Soy Seekender Summer Guide and Instagram Giveaway in partnership with Latina Bloggers Connect. Now through September 5, 2016, participants can enter for a chance to win a trip of their own by sharing pictures of their favorite summer weekend escapes using the hashtag #SoySeekender and tagging @LBConnect and @HamptonbyHilton.
